    Default Tire Softeners?

I'm not looking for any race secrets here, I've just had some tires that were left outside over the winter and have gotten hard. Just curious if anyone knows anything I can soak them in or put on them to soften the rubber up to normal. Ive heard wd-40 or a simple green mix works well. any ideas?

    What I use is...

    1 quart diesel fuel
    1 quart ATF
and a "splash" of mineral spirits

or just straight wd-40, then wrap the tire in paper towels, soak towels with wd40, then wrap with saran wrap.

Krud kutter is a cleaner/degreaser I'm not certain how well that would work. But the deisel any tranny fluid will get them softened back up.

    Cool WD40 works great but...

be careful softening your tires with WD40 will work, but they will chunk pretty quick.. You will lose patches of tread after a few weeks if you softened them and your car is hooked up.
