    Default Charter drops Speed

As of today Charter Cable has drop Speed from it basic service package. Thanks a lot! It is available on their digital package, but those that don't want it are out of luck.

Speed has gone down hill by about 90% lately though, so don't feel too bad.

About all you can count on seeing on their network these days, are Nascar related shows, and automotive reality shows.

You'll see way more Dirt Late Model racing, if you subscribe to "Dirt on Dirt", than is ever on Speed.

And your videos load faster than DoD... Not trying to knock DoD, but I can literally do a 20 min. chore 'round the house while loading a 6 min. vid... Some good reading on DoD, may be my Internet source as far as vids go...

There is really nothing worth watching on SPEED anymore. It is all crap they think we want to watch.

I think streaming video (like DoD, Dirtvision, etc) are the future of this sport.. not Speed and network broadcasting.

Though i REALLY REALLY REALLY wish i had the resources (and time) to get into it.. There needs to be more then 1 camera in the stands following the cars around the track (like so many dirt racing videos are)

I have wanted to do a broadcast with 3 cameras, most importantly being a cameraman on the inside of at least one turn with a wide-angle lens to capture the cars crossed up and jacked up around the corners. I hope one of the online services will adopt a camera angle like this...

Think about the best looking pictures of dirt late models, and put the video cameramen in the same spot.

1 camera between turns 1-2 getting these shots (only on video):

and 1 camera outside turn 4, getting shots like these:

and the 3rd camera in the grandstands like normal...

Sorry to turn this thread off-topic.. but i've wanted to do this for a long time.. but the daytime job and the replica business eats way too much of my time up to switch to race video too.

    I completely agree IMR.

Have 3 cameras that are running the whole time. The producer can switch between cameras as he/she sees fit. Not only would they be able to switch during live broadcasts but there would be a huge bonus in being able to show different angles to afterwards of crashes and passes.

I'm not sure how much more it would cost but I think it would be great.

Vs is better than speed ever was. Dirt Knights (which might be the best sports documentary ever), Lucas Oil Motorsports hour, Whelen mod tour...... And oh yeah NHL Hockey.

Well, I'll just have to cut you off then. At least until you redirect your funds.
