The photo of the Chevelle that Buck drove reminded me of earlier days and I wondered if anyone could tell me who was the driver of the cars that said "Swamp Ginny" on them. That was an advertisement for the Swamp Ginny resturant.
The #007 Swamp Guinea was driven by Rudy Boroughs.
This is the only photo i have of this car and it's not that good.

thanks for posting, I couldn't remember. Earlier there was a '55 Chevy with Swamp Guinea on the side aslo if memory serves me right. Long time since we would race at Cummins, Hartwell or Lavonia and run into different folks than the mountain tracks.
Here a picture of Doug Kenimer after winning the first Winternationals at East Bay Raceway Park in 1978. The guy on Dougs right is track owner at the time Jimmy Mingo.
Doug is what we used to call "good people". He was (was, because I haven't seen him in years) always friendly and enjoyable to be around at the track. He once had a Chevelle that had a trailer hitch on the back bumper, it had been on there when he found the bumper, he said that since he had added that bumper seemed like everyone wanted to hit him in the rear.
Falcon Red he is doing well a good friend of mine shoots either bows or guns with him and his son David . He said he shot with them for quite a while before he every figured out who Doug was. He said he is quite a humble man never bragging about any of his accomplishments which were many. I remember the year he won 42 races I think that is right including the world 100 like you said good people

I was hunting near Washington with Fulmer years ago and we met up with Doug and someone else coming out of the woods. He had been hunting in the same area.
