The NCRA 360 sprints literally blew into town Saturday night at 81 Speedway helping the old gal start her 57th season in the Wichita area. With strong gusty winds I am sure reaching 35 to 40 miles an hour every one was hoping that the track surface would hold up for the night of races.

Due to track condition which really favored no one the yellow flew often and the program ran into the start of Sunday morning, the NCRA A-Main kicked off at 1:00 AM and took about 30 minutes to run with the yellows that were thrown. About half of the starting field finished the race.

A large opening night crowd showed up with many of the fans staying until the checkered flag flew for the last race.

Some what of a surprise entree was Danny Lasoski from Dover MO. Danny won his heat race and was to start on the 3rd row inside but a 1st lap wreck took out the leaders so that moved Lasoski to 2nd row inside. Being the veteran of many sprint races on a dry slick track he waited for the right time in the race to make the pass for the lead.

Thanks to 81 Speedway and The NCRA sprint series. Enjoy.
