    Default Non coated steering wheel???

looking for a new wheel and have seen a bunch of them now with out the padded grip. Made out of aluminum, full of holes etc...

Is any one using these and what do you think???

I have one, tried it out for the first time a few days ago. I liked it. Didn't feel a whole lot different from what I had before, but I can tell that it is lighter.

I've used both, guess I don't really have too much of a preference.

1st wheel I used was a rubber coated one, never really had any problems with it.
2nd wheel I used was a bare wheel with nubs welded on the back side... that wheel was really good till you got together with someone, then them nubs about ripped your fingers off.
3rd wheel, was a normal bare wheel with the indents for your fingers to grab.
4th wheel is the rubber coated one again, but this one is a bit bigger (thick), I like it because I can get a better grip on it than the smaller (thinner) wheels.

Con to a bare wheel though, they will likely turn your gloves grey/silver.

I think you will find that a big rubber covering will help you to hold the wheel better. It may not look as cool but I would say it is safer.
