    Default 07 Mastersbilt Question

I somehow bent the rack plate in the car this past weekend. The track got pretty rough...I feel like it was cause by the left tie rod hitting against the strut rod when counter steering to the right. At the moment the strut rod it bolted on chassis side without a spacer. I want to move it down to give more clearance when counter steering to the right. Should I shim it down on the chassis side and reset caster? How much angle should be in the strut rods at ride height

The front of the strut rod should have a 1/2 inch spacer between the rod end and the frame. This is not just for clearance. This is to get the upper and lower parallel when viewed from the side so that you don't end up with unwanted dive/anti-dive characteristics. The "angle" of the strut is not that important but it's mounting location relative to the lower control arm is.
