Shouldn't need much weight, I only had to add 30 pounds, but, I weigh 240. You can go by the ride heights on the GRT site. Are you running the RR spring on the swing arm or on top of the axle?? LR I would run a 200# on a eliminator behind the axle and a 6-2 shock in front for starters. Front springs you can start with a 850 RF and a 950 LF. All this is subjective though as a lot depends on the type of track and driving style.

thanks what kind of shocks do you run on the front for a slick track car just wants to push in corner entry the more gas the more it pushes

Actually I had the same problem this year. Wound up dropping to a 750 RF and 700 LF. Running a 5-3 shock on LF and a 3-5 on RF.

I have stock Metric lowers and metric spindles. On a short stop and go track the car works pretty good. On big momentum tracks the RF is bottoming out. I did a little trimming to the bottom of the frame to get more travel. Haven't run it yet to see if it helps.

We've got one of these older babies too... looking for some help.

What holes are you running the trailing arms in on the frame? I had GRT tell me a while ago to run them in the 2nd hole up... did ok there... just ok. Called them back and talked to Joe, he said to run them all the way up in the top holes.

We tried the z-link with no luck. Zero forward bite and little to no side bite on a very slick 1/3rd mile.

We are open to some suggestions !

    thanks

A 600 and 650 on metric lowers seems WAY TOO soft. Mine bottoms out with anything less than a 850 in the RF.

Metric lowers have a 23% ratio, Chevelles have a 36% ratio. So with a 650# in a Chevelle clip you have 234# at the ball joint.

    To get that with a metric you would need a 1000# spring ( 1000 x 23% = 230)

I believe Nova lowers are 30%

Went up to a 950 on RF and for the first time, I could actually feel the RF tire working. Big sweeping 4/10 that carries a lot of speed into the corner. If I drove in too hard it would bottom out and push. Gonna go up to 1000 next week.
