Mother Nature Scores Spring Stampede Season Opener Win at Ponderosa Speedway

Junction City, KY- April 15, 2011- Track promoters Donnie Sullivan and family have been forced to cancel the Spring Stampede season opener due to rain showers falling in the area and more rain predicted in the area as the day moves forward.

Ponderosa Speedway and the entire staff apologizes for this inconvenience and hopes Mother Nature will cooperate and be able to get the 40th anniversary season of dirt track racing at “Kentucky’s Baddest Bullring” underway next Friday evening April 22 with the running of the 4th Annual Chris Estes/Brad Pena Memorial that will pay $1,500 to win for Super Late Models, along with all other divisions in action.

Also, the action on April 22 will be a benefit for the Logan Whitis family to help offset the rising medical cost their family has experienced in the treatment of Logan and wife Kellie’s young son and his medical condition.

Ponderosa Speedway is located at 365 Phillips Lane on the Boyle/Lincoln County border, outside of Junction City, KY, just minutes from Danville, KY. The Sullivan family will the track promoters and will present dirt track sports entertainment on Friday evenings throughout the 2011 race season.
