question on floater rearend

i just got a car with a floater rearend ive never ran one. Is the dust caps the only thing that holds the axles from falling out ? or am i missing somthing?

If you had the dust covers off, you might want to put a little permatex on them when you replace them..they tend to dribble gear oil if you dont.

Unless they were beat up I have never had an issue with them leaking, they should not have oil in them, you should run axle seals.
