Kyle Beard Claims Pair of Top Fives; Triple Header Weekend On Tap

Trumann, AR (05/05/11) – After a rough start to the 2011 season, Kyle Beard and Beard Motorsports finally got things pointed in the right direction last weekend as Kyle piloted the team's #86 Victory Circle M1 Chassis By Moyer/Samuels Performance Racing Engine Super Late Model to a pair of top five finishes in PRO Dirt Car Series Action.

After seeing last Friday's scheduled, CCSDS event at Batesville Motor Speedway (Locust Grove, Arkansas) nixed by rain, Beard Motorsports made the decision to head to North Alabama Speedway (Tuscumbia, Alabama) for a PRO Dirt Car Series, double header. On Friday night the first leg was held, and it was a $2,000 to win event. After setting second quick time in his group, Kyle locked into the fourth starting spot for the main event, and as the feature event went green he would initially race his way up to the third position. Over the next several laps he would battle throughout the top five before ultimately settling into the fourth position, and when the checkered flag dropped, he would cross the finish fourth behind race winner, Anthony Burroughs, Rick Rickman, and Brian Rickman. The finish was his first top five of the 2011 season.

Fresh off his best run of the 2011 season on Friday night, Kyle returned to action with the PRO Dirt Car Series on Saturday night at North Alabama Speedway (Tuscumbia, Alabama). After qualifying fourth fastest, he locked into the fourth starting spot for the 40 lap, $2,000 to win feature. However, after third place starter, Brian Rickman, scratched from the event, Kyle moved up to the third starting spot, and at the drop of the green flag in the feature, he would jump to the second spot in pursuit of race leader, Josh Putnam. Kyle would run second for the first eight laps before the caution flag flew, and on the ensuing restart he would Ronny Lee Hollingsworth for second before slipping to third. Over the remainder of the event, Kyle would hold down the third spot, and that's where he would be scored at the checkered flag behind race winner, Josh Putnam, and Ronny Lee Hollingsworth. This weekend, May 5th-7th, Kyle will return to the COMP Cams Super Dirt Series tour for a trio of $2,000 to win/$400 to start events in Oklahoma and Arkansas. The first race is slated for Thursday night at Tri State Speedway (Pocola, OK) before moving on to Thunderbird Speedway (Muskogee, OK) on Friday night and Crawford County Speedway (Van Buren, AR) on Saturday night.
