    Default Street Stock Tires

I am running 255/50/15 BF goodrich T/A Radials right now. Our rules require a 60 series street tire. Is there anything better out there? Anyone use softener on street tires? Thanks in advanced...

Hoosier oval track DOT dirt, 245, 255,265 60, aka Dirt Bozz

Awsome tire if you can get away with it

They carry the DOT stamp on the sidewall

Firestone Firehawks, size 235/60/15 should get you close to the tire circumfrence you are running now. These are the best DOT tires I ran on dirt.
Also check out Mastercraft Avenger GTs or Futura GLS super sport (@ pep boys), these work well also.

The best tires we found for dry slick was the michelin artic alpines. Super soft and had alot of little sipes in it.

I dont know where you are located but here in the north we all run Bridgestone Blizzacks. Most sun belt states have never herd of them. They are built for ice.
My sarcasm is a pre-emptive strike to your stupidity!!

    Cool we run 255/60 BFGs

@ florence speedway everyone up front are running 255/60 Bfgs

Also if you want to soften a dot tire... soak it with WD-40 let it sit in the sun all day.. works great, but lessens the tire life considerable

Hey Usa.That sounds like a good tire also. The Michelin artic alpines are for ice also. They worked really well to.

Why don't you just stick on using bf goodrich all terrain tire? I've been using it for more that 5 years now and I still have it. It's much better than other brands.

Most of us ran 275/60 around here before they opened the rules up. I liked the tiger paws and the mastercraft avengers. And grind or sand them they will slick over.
We were not allowed all terrains or snow/ ice tires.

I like the Firestone Firehawks indy 500, they work great on a 4/10 track with 32degree banking. Had 3 of the same ones for 2 yrs now.
