Tazewell Speedway welcomes the STARS Volunteer Racing Series for their first appearance on Saturday, May 7th. The 40-lap, $3,000 to win race is the highlight of the racing program.

The STARS VRS brings a full program of racing to Tazewell Speedway that includes time trials, heat races, consolations races, and the 40-lap main event. Defending series champion Mike Weeks and 2010 Rookie of the Year Ross White will be just two of the drivers looking to win the night's top prize. Track record holder Jeff Wolfenbarger, Vic Hill, Steve Smith, and many others from the area will also be on hand.

Also racing will be the Tazewell (limited) late models, modified streets, classic cars, pure streets, and four cylinders.

Pit gates will open at 3:00 and grandstand gates will open at 5:00. Adult grandstand admission is $17 and pit passes are $30.
