    rear springs are fine

    RR Shock 3/3 or 4/4

roy adding bite will loosen entry by letting the rr tire slide and tighten exit.

I run 200lbs left rear heavier than the rr.

Thats a lot of spring split in front I stay within 25-50 and my car handles really well.

    5050 6060
    3030 3030

are the 4 shocks I use 95% of the time I only change them if its smooth and dry or a really really heavy track.

bilstien shocks are much better than pro afco carrera etc.

Will you be at Hays, Jetmore or Minny this weekend for the 3 day stock car series in Kansas?

Get your rear up to 52%. Cross should not be more than rear %. I run the same amount of bite(lr heavier than the rr) also.

stock car racer, ill unfortunatly not be able to make that run. gotta move this week, but ill be at hays for fall nationals this fall.

so, say my right rear wheel weight (hypothetically) is 600 pounds and my left is 700 pounds. if i upped my left to 800 pounds it would loosen the car up on entry?

also, this is my second season with (what i see as) a really stiff front spring. i used to have a 800-850 lf and a 900 rf. think changing back will help?

yes upping the left rear weight lets the rr slide on entry

email me at jnjfab@live.com for more specific help if you want it.

Your springs may be fine, depending on load.

Front - If your front end is corrected (caster, camber, bump, ride height) and no binds. Check your shock travel after running on both front and rear. You may be having to jam the brakes to get enough weight transfer. With a 76 on the rf of mine it only had about 1.5 in of max travel and pushed on entry. Yours may be compressing a little more than that on the rf now due is having a higher front %. This will change as you move the % to the rear.

Suggestion = move the lf shock to the rf, place a 4 on the lf

Rear - check to see if its square within the chassis. Depending on the lower trail arm mount used, When trying different angles on the lower arms, the housing can move which changes the wheel base to be different on either side. I have had to re-drill holes in the afco style lower mounts to get the angle and wheelbase to jive. If the rear is heads up, check shock travel.

Suggestion = move the lr shock to the rr, place a 4 on the lr. As was already posted above, after that you could even step down one softer again on both rear shocks. Check travel and decide.

From there 52% rear MAY be ok if the track is loose or tacky. You may have to add weight to get there.

Got to go - let us know what happens.

Try 49 percent cross and up to 54 percent rear. If you run races less than 50 laps you will be very fast!!!
