2011 FASTRAK Triple Crown Set For May 27th, 28th, & 29th

Triple Crown weekend is only two weeks away as many Pro Late Model teams prepare for the Memorial Day Weekend extravaganza. The Triple Crown is a staple in the FASTRAK SE Tour schedule as numerous teams have supported these events since their inception. A mix of familiar tracks along with the introduction of one new track set the stage for this year’s running of the FASTRAK Triple Crown.

Teams are reminded that each of these events will be point races for the SE Touring Series. In addition, as customary by the series, a special award is being created for the driver with the highest point total over the course of these three events. A championship presentation is scheduled at Princeton Speedway as we will crown the 2011 Triple Crown champion. On behalf of the series, the tracks, and the teams, we invite you to celebrate your Memorial Day weekend with us for the 2011 FASTRAK Triple Crown.

The 2011 Triple Crown is schedule to kick off at 311 Speedway on Friday, May 27th. 311 Speedway is a fast ½ mile facility located Pine Hall, just north of the Triad area and right outside of Madison, NC. They currently have one of the strongest weekly car counts in the southeast and will provide a great setting to kick off this trio of races. On Saturday May 28th, the FASTRAK teams head north into southwestern Virginia to visit the familiar confines of Wythe Raceway. Located in Rural Retreat, VA Wythe has been synonymous with FASTRAK and great racing. The high speed and multi-groove venue has hosted some of pro late model’s largest and most competitive events. Following the events at Wythe, the Triple Crown will then close out on Sunday May 29th at Princeton Speedway. While many FASTRAK teams have visited Princeton in the past, many will be in for a surprise as track management has taken several steps to enhance and preserve their facility. The racing has always been exciting at the 4/10 mile oval and it will surely offer a different look for many teams.

Princeton Speedway has just added $50 of tow money for those FASTRAK teams that participate in Round 3 of the Triple Crown on May 29th, but do not make the field. Special Thanks To Melvin and Sherlene Bishop for this addition!

FK Rod Ends will be giving away 2 Complete Sets of Rod Ends (valued at over $750 per set) over the course of Triple Crown weekend. One set will go to the team that competes in all three Triple Crown events but has the lowest point total for the three races. The other set will come from a drawing on the final night at Princeton. To be eligible for the drawing, a team will have to participate in all three events.
