Default 3tc rpm and timing question.

i have a 3tc needing to get a few more rpms out of it. will advancing the timing let it turn a little more or retarding it let it turn a little more. what is the best cam timing on the gear to run and what timing at the distributor?

Tim, advance will pull more off corner but run out earlier on the straights. We run mine abt 36 Btdt. Finally blew my motor the other day, got to build another now.

should have phrased that better. i have plenty of power down the starights and on top end. could usea a little off the corner. what im asking is will advancing the timing let it turn more rpms i run out of gear about 75 to 100 feet before i need to really not enough to change the gear. i ran about 8400 rpms last year. i messed with cam timing and ignition timing over the winter and now it only turns abou 7700 at most. if i can get tha rpom im losing back i would be perfect.
