Princeton Speedway Adds Tow Money To Round 3 of the FASTRAK Triple Crown

With all of the emails and calls that continue to come in regarding the 2011 FASTRAK Triple Crown, this Memorial Day weekend is becoming much more interesting as each day passes. Starting next Friday, the series takes its SE Tour on a 3 day trip from North Carolina, through Virginia, and into West Virginia. 311 Speedway, Wythe Raceway, and Princeton Speedway are all preparing their respective tracks and facilities in expectation of a blockbuster weekend.

An additional incentive for the competing teams was finalized yesterday afternoon. Princeton Speedway promoter Melvin Bishop, in an effort to support all of the teams, agreed to provide tow money to all the FASTRAK teams that participate but do not make the feature event on Sunday May 29th at Princeton Speedway. While the teams making the field will still be guaranteed at least $250 to start, those that are not as fortunate and do not make the field, will still receive $50 to go towards their traveling expenses. “I truly appreciate Melvin and Sherlene’s efforts”, stated FASTRAK Director of Operations Jason Atkins. “Triple Crown is a remarkable weekend and Princeton has definitely enhanced that by reaching out to help the drivers.”

More announcements regarding the 2011 Triple Crown are expected later in the week. Teams need to keep in mind that while FASTRAK memberships are encouraged, they are not required in order to be eligible to participate in these events.
