With the 2011 FASTRAK Triple Crown only one week away, fans and teams across the east coast are gearing up for one of the most exciting weekends in FASTRAK history. With over $35,000 at stake, the annual Memorial Day Weekend extravaganza is sure to be a memorable weekend for all involved. The Triple Crown is a staple in the FASTRAK SE Tour schedule as numerous teams have supported these events since their inception. While many of the FASTRAK teams may be familiar with events 2 and 3 at Wythe Raceway and Princeton Speedway, the addition of 311 Speedway to the Triple Crown schedule will offer an exciting twist for this year’s competitors.

The 2011 Triple Crown is schedule to kick off at 311 Speedway on Friday, May 27th. 311 Speedway is a fast ½ mile facility located Pine Hall, just north of the Triad area and right outside of Madison, NC. They currently have one of the strongest weekly car counts in the southeast and will provide a great setting to kick off this trio of races. This $2000 To Win / $250 start event will definitely set the tone heading into Round 2.

On Saturday May 28th, the FASTRAK teams head north into southwestern Virginia to visit the familiar confines of Wythe Raceway. Located in Rural Retreat, VA Wythe has been synonymous with FASTRAK and great racing action. Teams participating in Round 2 will be treated to a $3000 To Win / $275 To Start event! The high speed and multi-groove venue has hosted some of pro late model’s largest and most electrifying events. This event will surely define who the 2011 Triple Crown contenders will be.

Following the events at Wythe, the Triple Crown will then close out on Sunday May 29th at Princeton Speedway with a $2000 To Win / $250 To Start finale. While many FASTRAK teams have visited Princeton in the past, many will be in for a surprise as track management has taken several steps to enhance and preserve their facility. The racing has always been exciting at the 4/10 mile oval and it will surely offer a different look for many teams.

While each of these events will be point races for the SE Touring Series, a special award is being created for the driver with the highest point total over the course of these three events. A championship presentation is scheduled at Princeton Speedway as we will crown the 2011 Triple Crown champion. On behalf of the series, the tracks, and the teams, we invite you to celebrate your Memorial Day weekend with us for the 2011 FASTRAK Triple Crown.
