Brownstown Speedway Moves Boknecht Trucking 30 Date From August 20 to July 9

Glasgow, KY- May 21, 2011- Officials with the American Modified Series would like to announce a date change in an attempt to make a more travel-friendly weekend for the racers and fans of the American Modified Series.

Brownstown Speedway track promoter Tim Keithley has informed AMS race director Chad Yantz that he will move his date from August 20 to July 9 for the first ever appearance by the AMS open wheel warriors at the historic Jackson County Fairgrounds ¼ oval located just outside of Brownstown, IN. The event will be the Boknecht Trucking 30. The Super Stock special that was scheduled for Brownstown on July 9 will now take place on August 27 along with a special event for the track’s Hornet division.

This will make for a more travel-friendly race weekend for the racers and fans of the American Modified Series as the tour will visit Bloomington Speedway in Bloomington, IN for the JB Salvage 30 on July 8 and can now make the one hour drive over to Brownstown Speedway on July 9 for the Boknecht Trucking 30.

Also of note, there will be a weekend points fund for the Bloomington and Brownstown events that will see the promoters from both tracks, along with the American Modified Series, put up some extra dollars to make the weekend of racing more worthwhile for the best open wheel racers in the Midwest. More details concerning the weekend points fund for July 8 and July 9 will be announced next week.

The next event for the American Modified Series will be a Friday evening visit to the Kim and Kevin Moler promoted Moler Raceway Park in Williamsburg, OH on Friday May 27 for a $1,500 to win points paying event.

The American Modified Series presents UMP Modified sanctioned dirt track sports entertainment at racing venues throughout Kentucky, Indiana, Ohio, and Tennessee.
