TRI-STATE CHALLENGE TO HEAD RACING PROGRAM ON RE-OPENING NIGHT AT PADUCAH INTERNATIONAL RACEWAY JUNE 3rd, 2011

Paducah, KY- May 25, 2011- The de-watering of the race track is over, and track prep is ready to begin for the June 3rd re-opening at Paducah International Raceway. Damage to the track itself was very minimal and should be in great shape for the Northern All Star Tri-State Challenge.
The Tri-State Challenge is a series of Northern All-Star Late Model races, held in three days, at three different tracks, in three different states. The top Late Model driver will take home $5,000 for the win at Paducah International Raceway, Paducah, KY.
Night one of the Tri-State Challenge will take place at Highland Speedway, Highland IL on Thursday night June 2nd. Night two will be at Paducah International Raceway, Paducah KY on Friday June 3rd, and the series will end June 4th, at I-55 Raceway, Pevely, Mo.
2010 winner @ PIR, Will Vaught, is expected to be back to defend his title against 2009 winner Billy Moyer, Other top UMP Super Late Model drivers, Jason Feger, Dennis Erb, father-son duo Terry and Tanner English, Jeff Walston, Randy Sellars, Jason McBride, and defending track Champion Kevin Cole are expected to be in the front to take home the winners purse.
Pit Gates open at 3:00 pm and Grandstands open at 5:00 pm. Hot laps are at 6:30 with qualifying starting at 7:00 pm and racing action at 7:30. Adult ticket prices are $20 with children 12 and under $5. Pit admission is $30. Also on the card for June 3rd, will be the UMP Pro (Crate) Late Models, UMP Modifieds, UMP Street Stocks, UMP 4-Cylinder Warriors and the High School Warriors.
A special practice will be held at PIR Wednesday June 1st, from 5-9 pm for all classes with Pit Passes at $15. Grandstands are free.
