    Default electric trailer winch

Need a new winch. Becides, wanting a sealed wound motor, what else should I be looking for in a winch? Looking at a 8000 or 10,000 winch. Sort of leaning towards a Superwinch. Pulling 2200 lb mod onto open trailer, and the winches I have tried are not getting job done.

I have always used the Warn 3700 winch with 0 problems. The 4700 is the exact same winch with just a faster gear ratio

You guys are goin to shoot me down on this one but I use a Harbor Freight Camouflage winch with wireless remote. It cost $69.00 and has worked fine from mid last season to now. I had to put a cable extention on it but it is just fine. (for now) Just sayin

That's the one I have that just took a crap. Never have pulled wreck car on trailer, car was always on rolling wheels. Never did have much power and now gave up.

I do a double line pull with a snatch block. Thats why I had to add the cable. I never pulled a wreck on the trailer. Its cheap but as long as it keeps workin I will count my blessings.

I use the s4000 from superwinch. Works great for my mod onto an open trailer. i also like how it has a extended cable for remote switch. I can load and unload car by myself. Just putting my 2 cents in...

Superwinch Terra 45 4500 lb winch from amazon.com. $209.23 plus shipping to my doorstep. Best money I've ever spent. Extra long cable and as stated above, can load and unload the mod by my self. I have it running off a battery in the toolbox on the trailer with a solar panel for constant charge.

LOL, I have the one from harbor freight and it's now setting in the garage. We did the other pulley on it and it was better, but went to slow. I have now one from advance 4000 lb I think $180.00 I think it was. pulls great.
