Last year in the U.S. Race Gear Cincinnati Modified Championship presented by Gabbard's Mt. Orab Ford and B&B Auto Care, Pete Holt held the distinction as the highest point finisher without a win. Saturday night at Florence Speedway he made sure he would not repeat that. Pete would take his first win and be followed by Steve King and current CMC point leader Matt Hamilton. At Lawrenceburg Speedway 2 features were on tap. Joey Kramer would claim his first CMC win of the year in the make-up feature. He would be followed by Ghuck Griffis and Derek Groomer. In the second feature Kramer and Groomer would swap positions as Groomer took the win with Kramer coming home third behind a second place Devin Gilpin.

The CMC is back in action this weekend as Moler runs on Friday with Lawrenceburg and Florence getting back after it on Saturday.
