Macon Speedway has an action packed Saturday night for race fans this weekend. Macon Speedway with the help of Miles Chevrolet will present the Faster Pastor event where area pastors will compete against each other in a special hornet feature. Area churches are encouraged to come to the track to support their pastor and all members of racing pastor’s congregations will be admitted into the event for ½ price. All youth members will be admitted for free. Also on hand will be the second race of the year for the growing High School hornet division. Area students will compete in this event and by competing they are helping their high school for a chance at the Phil Sargent Scholarship Award. Whichever high school has the highest attendance in the High School Hornet class throughout the year will be awarded a $1,000 scholarship to be given away to one of that school’s high school seniors. Macon Speedway has already hosted one High School Hornet race and the winner was Dalton Jacobs of Decatur, IL. Dalton attends Warrensburg Latham and was a competitor last season in the newly formed division as well.

All 6 divisions of cars will be racing this Saturday night.
