    PRO Dirt Car Series Makes Maiden Voyage to Talladega

    Columbus, Mississippi (06/7/11) – The P.R.O. Dirt Car Series Super Late Model tour will make its first ever trip to the infamous Hornet’s Nest at Talladega Short Track (Eastaboga, Alabama) this Saturday, June 11th.

    Round #4 of the P.R.O. Dirt Car Series will be held this Saturday at the 1/3 mile, high-banked oval at Talladega Short Track. Over the years the facility has been synonymous with great racing action and thrilling finishes, and this Saturday’s event will likely be no different.

    Through the first three events of the season there has been three different winners on the tour as Anthony Burroughs, Josh Putnam, and Ronnie Johnson have all raced their way into victory lane. The PRO Dirt Car Series competitors will be going head-to-head with a talented field of local competitors, who burn the track up on a weekly basis.

    Among the tour drivers expected to appear this weekend are Eric Cooley Dean Carpenter, Brian Rickman, Rick Rickman, Tony Shelton, Jay Burchfield, Jason Milam, Johnny Stokes, Mark Dodson, Ray Mauldin, Chase Washington, and more.

    Eric Cooley currently leads the Jeff Burns Racing Engines Rookie of the Year points over Tony Shelton.

    The event will see the competitors waging war on the high-banks in a program will include time trials, b-mains, and a 40 lap, $2,000 to win/$150 to start main event. For more information, please visit [url]www.TalladegaShortTrack.
