Coleby Frye Hits the Road with Appalachian Mtn. Speedweek, New Shirts Available!

Dover, PA (June 13, 2011) After a very successful start to the 2011 racing season, Coleby Frye and Coleby Frye Motorsports of Dover, PA, decided to set sail for the week long venture with the Appalachian Mountain Speedweek Series presented by CenturyLink that stretched across the Appalachian region hitting seven tracks in seven nights.

When the series opened their week long trek on Saturday, June 4 at Hagerstown Speedway in Hagerstown, MD, Coleby Frye Motorsports unloaded an all new look from Speedwrapz. Instead of the traditional black, blue and white; the new look features an all white body with black, Carolina blue and a reflective Vegas gold trim. (Photos from WRT Speedwerx Photos can be seen on Coleby’s site, www.colebyfrye.com) Unfortunately the same Hagerstown gremlins that have plagued Coleby for years returned as Coleby was unable to qualify for the main event. ‘We’ve never been good at Hagerstown,’ Coleby said, ‘if by some chance we are halfway good, we have bad luck, we’ve just never run good there.’

Coleby’s fortune’s changed the next night, June 5, at Winchester Speedway, in Winchester, VA as Frye captured an 11th place finish before heading to Roaring Knob Motorsports Complex on Monday, June 6 where Coleby fell one position short of transferring to the $5,000 to-win main event. ‘Superfly’ followed with a solid tenth place finish at Williams Grove Speedway in Mechanicsburg, PA on Tuesday, June 7 and a 20th place finish at Lincoln Speedway in Abbottstown, PA on June 8. Coleby did not qualify for the feature event at Port Royal Speedway on Thursday, June 9 but finished the Speedweek with another 20th place finish at Bedford Speedway on Friday, Jun 10.

Also debuting during the Appalachian Mountain Speedweek was the 2011 Coleby Frye Motorsports apparel designed and printed by Speedwrapz Sportswear. You can purchase CFM apparel by visiting Coleby at his hauler at any event he participates in.

Next week ‘Superfly’ and will be in the #F1 Super Late Model at Bedford Speedway on Friday, June 17 and with the World of Outlaws Late Model Series on Saturday, June 18 at Winchester Speedway in Winchester, VA for the rescheduled ‘Gunter’s Honey Spring 50’ paying $10,000 to the winner. The following weekend Coleby Frye Motorsports will head to Sarver, PA for the World of Outlaws Late Model Series sanctioned, 5th Annual ‘Firecracker 100’ on June 23, 24, and 25 at Lernerville Speedway.
