    Default Bloomquist flips at Cherokee!

Was surprised I did not see the buzz on here about Scott Bloomquist going over on his lid at Cherokee Speedway for the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series event. I believe it is just the 2nd time in his career that it has happened. Very rare moment.

Eastbay a few years ago, 2008 maybe? I was really glad to have been there and witnessed it.

Thanks for the clip. Man it sure doesn't look like the Cherokee I remembered from my youth. I know they changed it a few years back. I guess I miss the old 1/2 mile with no retaining wall in 1 & 2.
I remember it this way. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hUN_cMmu31c

Good to see a good crowd there.

Bloomquist flipped last year somewhere in a heat race after contact with Ray Cook. Can't remember where.

I was sitting in the turn one grandstand at Cherokee and could not even tell bloomer had rolled over. Pretty dusty.

I didn't see the one at Eastbay but was in attendance at the Winchester Va Lucas Oil Race last year and saw that one. Someone was at that time was saying it was only the second time. Hope no one was hurt at Cherokee.

Just found it. Here's the video clip of Bloomquist flipping at Winchester if you're a DirtonDirt subscriber.

    Default Bloomer flip

I was told that Winchester was his only flip, but that could be false. Cherokee was pretty dusty, but you can see the entire thing fairly well actually.

    Default Winchester VS Cherokee

I just watched the Winchester clip and I would have to go ahead and say that it was much worse there, than at Cherokee. Either way I was just glad to have witnessed it with my own eyes and with my camera...also glad to see that Scott was okay.
