Topless Terror Night and Compacts at Bluegrass Speedway on June 25

Bardstown, KY-June 19, 2011- After being rained out last week, Bluegrass Speedway track promoters David and Anita Ferrell will again present an action filled night of dirt track racing entertainment this Saturday evening June 25 as it will be the 8th Annual Topless Terror Night and the front wheel drive Compacts division will also be on the racing program.

The June 25 racing program will feature the 44 Auto Mart Super Late Model and Country 100.9 MIKE FM UMP Modified division in competition racing with the roofs removed from the race cars, sporting the convertible, allowing the race fans to see the drivers hard at work in their “office”. The 44 Auto Mart Super Late Models will race for $1,000 to win in their main event, while the Country 100.9 MIKE FM UMP Modifieds will race for $500 to win in their main event. The Super Late Models and Modifieds must race with the roofs removed from their machines. Also in competition on the June 25 race program will be the Clayton Homes of Stanford UMP Sportsman racing for $200 to win and the UMP Street Stocks racing for $100 to win, while the Compacts division returns on June 25 as well, also racing for $100 to win. Of note, this will be the last date that patrons and race teams can use their rainchecks from the event that was rained out back on May 21. For the June 25 event, the Super Late Models and UMP Modifieds will time trial, while the UMP Sportsman, UMP Street Stocks, and Compacts will draw for heat race starting positions.

Activities at Bluegrass Speedway for the June 25 event will see the pit area open at 4:00 p.m., while the general admission area will open at 5:00 p.m. The drivers meeting will take place at 6:00 p.m., with practice set to begin at 6:30 p.m. Time trials will get underway at 7:00 p.m., with racing set for the green flag at or before 8:00 p.m. Ticket prices for the June 25 event in the general admission area will be $10 for adults, $5 for children ages 6 to 12, and children ages 5 and under free. A pit pass will be $25.

Bluegrass Speedway last raced on June 4 and feature event winners included Lee Devasier of Crestwood, KY in 44 Auto Mart Super Late Models, Joey Kramer of Hanover, IN in Country 100.9 MIKE FM UMP Modifieds, Avral Thompson of Loretto, KY in Clayton Homes of Stanford UMP Sportsman, and Mike Bailey of Clarksville, IN in UMP Street Stocks.

Current track championship point leaders are Lee Devasier of Crestwood, KY in 44 Auto Mart Super Late Models, Michael England of Glasgow, KY in Country 100.9 MIKE FM UMP Modifieds, Robbie Settles of New Hope, KY in Clayton Homes of Stanford UMP Sportsman, and Scott Beeler of Louisville, KY in UMP Street Stocks.

Bluegrass Speedway is located at 2221 New Haven Road at the intersection of Kentucky Highway 31-E and exit 21 of the Martha Layne Collins (Bluegrass) Parkway.
