Chad Thrash Gets First Win of 2011 in MSCCS Action

Meridian, Mississippi (06/21/11) – Chad Thrash finally shook the monkey off his back by driving his #1c Thrash Motorsports/Tomkat of Chunky/Rocket/Jay (not a nice word)(not a nice word)(not a nice word)(not a nice word)ens Racing Engine Super Late Model to the $2,500 win in the Mississippi State Championship Challenge Series (MSCCS) event at Greenville Speedway on Saturday night..

After more than his fair share of bad luck early in the season as well as a few weeks away from the track to get his new car assembled, Chad returned to action on Saturday night, where he picked up his first win of the 2011 season. He entered the $2,500 to win event at Greenville Speedway (Greenville, Mississippi) on Saturday night.

The night started well as he set fast time in his group around the fast, 1/4 mile oval, and in the dash he would finish second to local standout, Ross Camponovo, to earn the pole second starting spot for the main event. Thrash would battle for the lead for much of the event as he and series' points leader, Klint Byars, swapped the top spot. Thrash would move into the top spot for good late in the race, and went on to claim his first tour victory in two years, and his fourth career triumph with the series. The win came over Klint Byars, Dane Dacus, Scott Creel, and Ross Camponovo. Full results are available at www.StateSeries.com.

For the upcoming weekend, Chad is slated to travel to Jackson Motor Speedway (Byram, Mississippi) for the $2,500 to win, River Rumble 40 on Saturday night, June 25th. For more information on the event, please visit www.JacksonMotorSpeedway.net.
