This past weekend, Flyin Ryan Montgomery and the #12 race team headed up to Roarin Knob Motorsports Complex on Saturday night - a track that this 14 year old has become pretty familiar with over the past year. Montgomery was in the third heat race for his class and scored a victory. After the draw, Montgomery started on the pole in his High Gear Warrior crate late model in the Fastrak feature race with a field of 21. He fell back to second place for the first half of the race and battled like a pro with some seasoned, tough competitors like Nolan Dolton, Shane Hitt, George Kowatic, Rick Meglaye and Doug Horton. He was able to work his way back to the front in the second half of the race and held on to the top spot for a very exciting win for the #12 Montgomery race team.

This marks the third win of the season for this young, up-and-rising driver. He got his first win of the season at I-77 Speedway. His second win, at Thunder Mountain, was especially sweet as it was his first feature AMRA win in his #12 modified car. And while this most recent victory marks the third notch in his 2011 season, it was especially rewarding as it was his first ever Fastrak feature win.

Attached is a link to a great video that spotlights the win this past Saturday and a quick interview with Ryan. Special thanks for Pit Pass and host Ron Fox.

Montgomery wants to be sure to recognize all the hard work and support he gets from his team and was glad to be able to bring a victory home! He especially wants to give a big shout out to the High Gear Race Shop. Doug, Slavic, and Davey got the car ready to roll while Montgomery and family relaxed at the beach on a family vacation. Now that's service! He also wants to thank all of his sponsors for their support this year: T. J. Contracting, Mountain State Plumbing, Central Supply, Longneck Saloon, High Gear Speed Shop, Shaffer Electric, and Central Heating & Air.

The Flyin Ryan Team will be headed to Elkins Speedway this Friday and back to the Roaring Knob Complex on Saturday. We hope to see you there!
