    Default Brake rotor widths?

I'm looking at upgrading or really downgrading calipers and rotors on my Rocket which currently has 1.25 rotors...they must weigh 8-9lbs each. I have a few questions.

    1. Has anyone spaced out the 1.25 to run a .81 what were the issues?
    2. Anyone running .25 or .38 rotors? any issues
    3. Outside of Brakeman...what is every running? I don't seem much different at my local tracks from my stuff? Why?

being from pavement I was a big brake guy but my driver is telling me he does not use them enough to waste the power spinning a fat rotor.

    Thanks Geo

You're driver might not be using them much now but if you ever go to a big flat track or something with longer straightaways, you're going to wish you had the 1.25s on there.

We ran the .85 scalloped rotors and you cannot abuse them at all. They will go away in a hurry.

you want the 1.25s. he might not break much on some nights but others he does. and what happens when its one of those nights and the breaks get used up and he has to stop because someone spins in front of him?
