Default $180,000 Black Diamond! $48,000 Paid to Super LM Winners! No Super LM Pre-Entry Fee!

    July 26, 2011
    FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

“The Black Diamond” Showcases a Massive $180,000 Payoff With No Super Late Model Car Pre-Entry Fees!

(Mars, PA) Anticipation continues to grow for one of the nation’s highest paying Super Late Model events, “The Black Diamond 125 and UFo WV State Championship” at Tyler County Speedway on September 1-2-3. This mega-event will pay out over $180,000, with $48,000 paid to the Super Late Model feature winners from a $157,000 payoff for that class. This race reverse the trend of high entry fees for great payoffs, as Super Late Model drivers may enter the event with no entry fee if pre-registered by August 15.

The “Black Diamond” will showcase 5 late model-type features during the weekend including 4 Super Late Model features. While the event pays mammoth amounts to the winners, the payoff is designed to pay more money to more drivers. A total of $48,000 will be paid out to the 4 Super Late Model winners with one driver being able to win up to $38,000. A driver that races in 3 feature events will earn a minimum of $2,000, and the 48th place driver on Saturday night will earn $1,000. All Super Late Model drivers that attend both days of Super Late Model racing will be paid a minimum of $250. The FASTRAK Pro-Late NE Tour “WV State Championship on Friday, September 2 will pay $3,000 to win.

Circle Track Management Group is posting this incredible Super Late Model payoff without the use of race teams-paid entry fees, which in reality reduce the driver’s payoff! The Super Late Models will have absolutely no car entry fee if a driver pre-registers by the August 15 cut-off date. Super Late Model car entry after August 15 will be $200. CTMG has been a strong part of the UFo alliance and has seen the favorable results of the elimination of entry fees on that tour. The elimination of these fees will translate to even more money for the race teams that attend this national mega-event, keeping an additional $15,000 in their hands. The official entry form may be obtained at the event website http://www.blackdiamond125.com.

The inaugural edition of the “Black Diamond 125 and UFo WV State Championship” attracted one of the highest car counts in the nation during 2010, with 84 Super Late Model drivers participating. Brian Birkhofer of Muscatine, IA was a double winner capturing Friday’s UFo “WV State Championship” as well as a qualifying feature of the “Black Diamond 125.” Donnie Moran of Dresden, OH won the other qualifying feature, with Jonathan Davenport of Blairsville, GA winning the finale feature.

Tyler County is famous for being one of the raciest tracks in the nation. In last year’s “Black Diamond 125 and UFo WV State Championship,” the top 10 in the 4 features advanced a total of 175 positions! Tyler County has featured amazing 3 and 4 wide racing in 2011, indicating another spectacular event is on the way.

The massive 3-day weekend will kick off on “Black Lightning Thursday,” September 1 with “WV State Championship” heat races and consolation events for the Hot Mods, Mod-Lites and Eco-Flyer 4-cylinders. After the racing, live entertainment will be provided including the Mud Dawg & Hoss Show.

United Rentals “Black Gold Friday” on September 2 will feature the UFo “WV State Championship.” This will be a full UFo Super Late Model racing program with $8,000 to win for the Area 51-lap Super Late Model feature event. The FASTRAK Northeast & Mid-Ohio Valley Tour will compete in the Pro-Late Model “WV State Championship” full racing program. The “WV State Championship” features for the Hot Mods, Mod-Lites and Eco-Flyers will also be contested on Friday night.

The “Black Diamond 125” on Saturday night, September 3 will once again showcase 3 complete Super Late Model features. The field will once again be split into 2 groups with a complete racing program for each group. Two $10,000 to win, 40-lap preliminary features will be ran—1 for each group—with a full payoff to 24th position. The top 8 finishers from each preliminary feature will move on the 45-lap finale paying $20,000 to win with a full payoff for all 16 cars. The 45-lap finale promises to be the most intense $20,000 to win race ever contested! The TSMA E-mods will compete in a full racing program with their “WV State Championship” paying $1,000 to the winner.
