Richmond Raceway’s Back-to-School Extravaganza this Saturday, August 6; $1,000 to win Sportsman!

RICHMOND, KY (August 1, 2011)-Richmond Raceway track promoters Joey and Tiffany Tackett are ready to present a very exciting night of events this Saturday, August 6 with their Back to School Extravaganza.

The Sportsman division will highlight the night’s racing activities in the second annual Sportsman Nationals paying $1,000 to win! Also on the racing card are the Coyote 100.7 FM Super Late Models, Open Wheel Modifieds, Road Hogs, and Four Cylinders. There is a $25 Sportsman entry fee for this event.

Several activities are planned for the youngsters in the audience with giveaways that include lots of school supplies, gift cards, toys, cash prizes, and much more!

For Saturday, August 6 the pit area opens at 5:00 p.m. followed by the grandstand area at 6:00 p.m. A mandatory driver’s meeting will take place at 6:30 p.m. with hot laps set to get underway at 7:00 p.m. followed by heat race action.

Ticket prices in the grandstand area are $12 for adults and FREE for kids ages 12 and under for the Back-to-School Extravaganza. Pit passes are $27 for adults, $5 for kids ages 6-12 and kids ages 5 and under are also admitted FREE to the pit area.
