Morgan Bagley Scores Win #5 of 2011 at USA Speedway

Longview, Texas (08/02/11) –Morgan Bagley continued his domination of USA Speedway in 2011 as he drove his #14m McMillan Motorsports/Rocket By Club 29 Super Late Model to another feature win at the facility on Friday night.

The last minute decision to enter the $2,000-to-win, COMP Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS) Super Late Model event on Friday night paid off big dividends for Bagley as he made it a perfect five-for-five at USA Speedway (Sterlington, Louisiana) as he won once again.

Twenty Super Late Models entered the event, and the night would start slow for Bagley as he finished deep in a heat race, which left him starting fifteenth on the grid for the feature. Bagley would fail to make up much ground early in the feature, but on lap 6 a twelve car pile-up would ensue in front of Morgan, and he would narrowly miss the accident. As a result, he would be moved to the third position for the restart behind race leader, Curtis Cook, and Trey Beene. Bagley would run third for the next several laps before moving up to the second spot with nine laps remaining when Beene retired with mechanical issues. Over the closing laps Bagley would begin to pressure Cook for the lead, and on the white flag lap he would use the highline to race his way past Cook to take over the spot as he led the last lap on his way to the win. The victory was his fifth of the year at USA Speedway and fifth overall on the season. Full results are available at www.COMPDirt.com.

On Saturday night Morgan was back on the O'Reilly SUPR Super Late Model trail at Baton Rouge Raceway (Baton Rouge, Louisiana) in a $2,500-to-win event. Twenty-four Super Late Models entered in the event, and in heat race action Bagley advanced one spot from his third starting spot to a second place finish to lock into the seventh starting spot for the 50 lap feature. During the course of the main event, he was able to advance only one spot to a sixth place finish at the checkered flag behind race winner, Jeff Chandler, Kevin Sitton, Timothy Culp, Robbie Starnes, and Jody Prince.

Morgan now has a 224 point advantage in the O'Reilly SUPR standings over Timothy Culp for the series' championship, and he also continues to lead the rookie standings. Full results and the latest standings are available at www.SUPRRacing.com.

The upcoming weekend will see the team enter a single event as they take part in the $2,500-to-win program at 171 Speedway (Leesville, Louisiana), which will be sanctioned by the O'Reilly SUPR Super Late Model tour.
