Wendell Wallace Racks Up Fourth Victory of 2011 at Little Rock; Gears Up for Doubleheader!

(BATESVILLE, ARKANSAS) Wendell Wallace, of Batesville, Arkansas, recorded his fourth feature win of the 2011 racing season on Saturday night, August 6 at the I-30 Speedway in Little Rock, Arkansas! Wendell started fifth in his heat race and blasted to the front of the field to take the prelim triumph. He earned the rights to the pole position by virtue of his impressive heat race performance and later led flag-to-flag in the 35-lap feature event. Wendell claimed the $2,000 top prize in defeating Jon Kirby, Gary Christian, Brandon Smith, and Billy Moyer, Jr. Friday's Comp Cams Super Dirt Series show at the Malden (MO) Speedway was unfortunately rained-out. Full results from Saturday in Little Rock can be viewed online at www.compdirt.com.

“We keep working hard on this car and we seem to be getting a little better,” quoted Wallace in a telephone conversation this week. “The last month or so has gone pretty well for us and we have been fortunate enough to knock off a couple of wins. I am looking forward to racing at Beebe and West Plains this weekend and who knows, maybe we can pull of another victory or two.”

The Wendell Wallace Autosports team will look to continue their winning ways over the August 12-13 weekend with a pair of events in the states of Arkansas and Missouri. On Friday night, the Beebe Speedway in Beebe, Arkansas will play host to a $2,000 to win Comp Cams Super Dirt Series program. The dirt-slinging action will quickly shift to the West Plains Motor Speedway in West Plains, Missouri on Saturday evening for a $3,000 to win MARS DIRTcar Series and Comp Cams Super Dirt Series co-sanctioned race. Additional information on the doubleheader for the #88 team can be located online at www.compdirt.com.
