21st Annual Budweiser Jean Johnson Memorial Saturday August 20th

Cleveland, TN (8/11/11) Cleveland Speedway in Cleveland, Tennessee will again play host to the Southern All Stars Dirt Racing Series on Saturday night August 20th as the best dirt Super Late Model racers from throughout the region will compete for $20,000 in prize money.

Budweiser and Tarver Distributing proudly present the 21st Annual Jean Johnson Memorial, which marks the series 4th event of 2011 at the Monty Morrow promoted facility just North of Chattanooga, Tennessee. Race teams from around the region are expected to converge on the 1/3-mile clay oval vying for a $5,000 first place prize for Cleveland Speedway's First Lady, wife to the late track owner Joe Lee Johnson and mother to two-time Dirt Track World Champion Ronnie Johnson of Chattanooga.

The list of drivers in action at Cleveland on Saturday include current S.A.S. points leader and most recent winner on the 29 year old tour, William Thomas of Phenix City, Alabama, Cleveland's most recent S.A.S. event winner Billy Ogle Jr. of Knoxville, 'Coach' David Payne of Murphy, NC, 'Rocket Boy' Tommy Kerr of Maryville, TN, Brian Reese of Sharpsburg, Georgia, Tony Knowles of Tyrone, Georgia and perhaps a few heavy hitters from the National tours along with defending race winner Ronnie Lee Hollingsworth of Northport, Alabama and many local and regional hot shoes expected like Ronnie Johnson, Skip Arp, Randy Weaver, Ray Cook, Mark Vineyard, Riley Hickman and many more.
