1974 mustang II drive shaft

anyone know what the stock length of this drive shaft is suppose to be... and other than changing the plate at the universal from the 7.5 to the 8.8 is the 79 and newer fox body shaft the same length. I don't have one or i'd just try it.. and there are no mustang II's in the junk yard

mine is 47" from center of u joint to center of u joint.i'm not sure how long th 79=89 are, i know the 76 is shorter wheelbase.we just built a 95 mustang and i set the motor back far enough to use the old mustang 2 driveshaft.we don't have a motor set back rule where we run.hope it helps.good luck
