1st Annual Bill Hendren Memorial is set to take place September 16th, 2011 at Cleveland County Speedway in Lawndale, North Carolina.

We at Hendren Racing Engines, and the family members of the late Bill Hendren, are proud to make this announcement in conjunction with the FASTRAK Racing Series and Cleveland County Speedway. At this time we are diligently working to make this a spectacular event for both drivers and race fans alike. It is our intent to honor the memory of one of the most giving people in the racing industry, by creating a unique event that will keep race fans on the edge of their seat until the final checkered flag falls, and by rewarding the racers who participate like no other race has before.

Please stay tuned for new announcements in the coming day's, as the purse will be growing, contingency awards and sponsors will be announced, and the racing format will be finalized. This event started yesterday as a $2,000.00 to win event, but has already increased to a $4,000.00 to win event as of today.
