    STARS MDRL and STARS VRS ready for Stars and Stripes 40 at Richmond, KY September 3rd

    SOMERSET, KY (August 26, 2011)—After a few weeks off, the STARS Midwest Dirt Racing League and the STARS Volunteer Racing Series both presented by Arizona Sport Shirts will race in their final co-sanctioned race of the season before heading down the Championship Points chase for each respective series.

    The STARS MDRL and STARS VRS will co-sanction the Second Annual Stars and Stripes 40 event on Saturday Night September 3rd at the Joey and Tiffany Tackett promoted Richmond Raceway in Richmond, Kentucky paying $3,000 to win / $300 to start the 22-car field. CT Marketing will be paying $100 Cash to the Fastest Qualifier Overall.

    The promoters of the Speedway have also announced that will also be “College Night’ at the track and anyone who has a valid ID will be admitted FREE into the stands on September 3rd.

    The event will feature a complete show of Practice, Group Time Trials, Heat Races, Consolation Races and the 40-lap main event. As an added bonus, the Open Wheel Modifieds will race for $800 to win while a regular show program will be hosted for the Sportsman, Road Hogs and Four Cylinders.

    The Late Model tire rule for this event is as follows: Open Front with Rear tires being Hoosier LM40 or 1600 and the American Racer MD-56, these tires must punch 60 cold. The Series charges a $50 entry fee for non-members with members receiving a $10 discount. Each series will receive two provisional a piece and the track will have one provisional starting spot that night.

    The gates will swing open at 4:00 p.m. with Drivers Meeting set for 6:15 p.m. and Hot Laps slated for 6:30 p.m. Adult Grandstand Admission is $17.00 with Children 6-12 admitted for $3.00 while Children five and under are FREE. Adult Pit Passes are $30.00 with Children 6-12 admitted for $5.00 while Children five and under are FREE.

    During the first six Series events for the STARS Volunteer Racing Series there have been six different winners with Chip Brindle of Chatsworth, GA picking up $3,000 at North Georgia Speedway on April 9th, Josh Putnam picked up $3,000 on May 6th at Boyd’s Speedway with ‘The California Kid’ Eric Jacobsen of Santa Cruz picking up his first-ever Late Model win at Tazewell Speedway May 7th. On May 28th Anthony White collected $3,000 at Wartburg Speedway and Ross White also took a major victory by picking up his career first Late Model victory on July 1st at Wartburg Speedway. Mark Douglas was the most recent winner on the STARS VRS by taking home $3,000 at the Volunteer Speedway August 6th.

    Ross White of Tennessee holds a tight grip on the STARS VRS Point Standings lead with just 20 markers over Eric Jacobsen of California.

    There has also different winners on the STARS Midwest Dirt Racing League, seven to be exact with Justin Rattliff picking up the April 23rd win at Lake Cumberland Speedway and Rohn Moon also picked up $3,000 on May 27th at Lake Cumberland. Ross White won $5,000 at Wartburg Speedway July 1st while Dustin Linville took the $3,000 first place prize at the Mountain Motor Speedway on July 2nd. R.J. Conley of Wheelersburg, OH took home $3,000 at the Portsmouth Raceway Park on July 30th while Jackie Boggs claimed $5,000 during the 7th Annual Iron-Man Classic at the Southern Ohio Speedway on August 5th and Brad Neat bagged the 13th annual Bluegrass 50 at Bluegrass Speedway August 6th in an exciting show there.

    Yep races with stars have been cancelled. Before long tilley wont have a track in Ky that wants him. Burned every bridge and track on the way.

    you never answered the question on dustin linville he is the point leader of your series and since its your series why cant he race it

    You will have to ask the race track that question, that decision was out of the series' hands since the altercation occurred at one of their events, not a STARS MDRL race. We don't get in the middle of business like that.

    maybe you should get in the middle of it since its your series and he is loyal running the entire series if in fact its your series then your points drivers should be allowed to race so your telling me that the tacketts are telling you how to run your series

    Won't be missing much except maybe a wreck if Linville doesn't show up.
