DEUCES WILD R1LEY HICKMAN GETS WIN #2 at CLEVELAND SPEEDWAY

Cleveland, TN (9/3/11) --- Picking up exactly where he left off last Saturday night, the HUSTLER Riley Hickman (# R1) of Ooltewah, TN laid claim to his second consecutive 30 lap A-Main feature at Cleveland Speedway. Despite MotherNature dropping an intense load of precipitation in the area around Cleveland, just hours before racetime, racers and fans made the trek for a Full Regular Program of Late Models, Limited, Hobby and Pony/FWD's action. Setting fast-time of the 14-car field the #R1 "Hickman Manufacturing, American Billet, Austin Trucking, Bodies by Hixson, RH Designs, Mayo Racing Components, AllStar Graphix, Hoosier Tire" sponsored, Racetek powered MasterSbilt racer earned the pole by winning heat race #1 over Lamar Scoggins. Despite giving-up the CAT-BIRDS SEAT to John Owenby (a switch from last weeks starting line-up) Hickman grabbed the lead from the onset.

"My tires were gone on that long caution period around lap 18..." stated Hickman in a post-race interview. "The bottom came to him (Owenby) and I just had to hold my line." continued the victor. The team had planned on running in Virginia this weekend, but MotherNature altered those plans. "We're looking at Gaffney (SC) tomorrow, unless weather forces us elsewhere." Owenby challenged Hickman late in the race as Lamar Scoggins battled a similar scenerio with Brian Pritchard for third about a half straight-away back. Jason Payne rounded out the Top-5 finishers. Look for the team to possibly enter next weekends $5,000 to-WIN Carolina Clash race in Bulls Gap, TN before returning back home to race in the Boyd's/Cleveland S.T.A.R.S double-header Sept 16th and 17th.
