    Default CT 525 advice

What does everyone recommend as far as accessories for the 525? Carbs and spacers? Will a alternator help in a 20 - 30 lap race? Who makes the best pulleys? What size headers? And who makes a flywheel for these things? What kinda fuel pump does it need?

the people that run them around here dont run an alternator. do the coil packs use more battery than a old style ignition system uses?

KRC makes really nice stuff and they have several kits for the CT-525.

i was talking to a guy who runs one at our track tonight, and he is not allowed any carb spacers and he has to run a governor 950 restrictor and 60lbs in front of the motor plate(yuck) when he runs with the crate or limited lates. also he has to weigh 2475 when 604 and limited cars weigh 2400 and 602s weigh 2250. he runs the KRC kit listed above WITHOUT an alternator. he said that there is no reason to run an alternator on regular races if you have a good battery. he also said he runs sunoco 110 from the track.

Thanks! USRA / USMTS is 2250 pounds with 50 pounds in front of the motor plate. A steel block spec head motor is 2400, steel block open 23 degree head is 2450 pounds with 50 in front of the motor plate, and anything less that 23 degree is 2500 with 50 pounds of lead in front of the motor plate. The 525 and the spec heads get a 8" spoiler and everything else is 5". Plus they are all running on the HARD G60 tires. Does it sound like the 525 would be the way to go? Lot cheaper that a $15,000+ Mullins motor!

Default We are working at it

We don't pretend to be an expert on the ct525 but we are working real hard at the program.

We have sold about a dozen or so an outfitted most with the accessories---we have been getting great feedback from our customers and we take notes when they offer advice.

we are authorized for repairs and have 6 new engines in stock at $6960
