Currently sitting in 4th place in the STARS/MDRL Series (www.racevrs.com), Mick Sansom of Salt Rock, West Virginia is preparing for non-series action this weekend as he will be competing at the K-C Raceway in Alma, OH in a $2,000 to win event that will take place on Saturday Sept. 24th. Last weekend Mick, in his first full year piloting a late model, headed to the Mayabb family’s 191 Speedway in Campton, KY and left with a 6th place finish under his belt. In addition to being 4th in overall STARS/MDRL points, Mick is second in the series’ Rookie of the Year challenge, 20 points behind ROY leader Terry Tomlinson. Mick will again be piloting the SANSOM MOTORSPORTS (SMS) owned MasterSbilt Race Cars, Dale Meers Racing Engines, Shain Custom Decals #20M entry.

September 24, 2011: K-C Raceway, Alma, OH for $2,000 to win
October 8, 2011: Southern Ohio Speedway, Wheelersburg, OH for $4,000 to win (STARS/MDRL Series)
October 13-15, 2011: Dirt Track World Championship at K-C Raceway, Alma, OH for $50,000 to win (Lucas Oil Series)
