Moving pull bar ahead of axle center line
My pull bar was mounted even with the centerline of my axle, I moved it 4 inches ahead on the rear end. What can I expect the first time I run it. I havent changes any thing else.

Its probably going to react quicker since you shortened pull bar and it might give you more forward bite as it gains angle as rear end wraps up. Good luck.

What that does is to keep angle in the upper link longer to promote a longer traction window. Anything out beyond four inches creates to much leverage and may not be beneficial.

Viewed from the drivers side, if 12:00 o'clock (center line) is where your pull bar is mounted and you're on the gas, it will go to one or two o'clock, going down. It will lower the center of gravity, less bite. If you have it in front of the axle center line, like you did, it will always be going up. The center of gravity will stay higher for more bite.

The pull bar is the same length. I understand how this reduces the amount of axle wrap. Will any changes need to be made to any of the 4 bar angles, weight percentages, springs or shocks?

It shouldn't do anything extreme. Run it with everything else the same and see what you think.

if you moved it 4" ahead how did you not shorten it?

I'm curious on how this turned out so if you could update your findings, it's appreciated. I see this as Dirtrunner35 stated, the old way you have broken past the high point of the arch and moving down hill (1:00 or 2:00). Mounted up front, it would rise first, then try to break the top of the arch, if it ever does.
Not sure what the gain is or would be. but curious.

I've talked to other driver that tried and they both went back but that was with 9 inch floaters.I think ther could be a noticable change with a quick change rearend just due to the distance off the axle center line.here's a few photo's of different pull bar idea's

Okay 3 races into this and the car is really tight. In the center of the corner it just dosent transition and turn like it did before I moved it. Tight on entry, in the middle, and tight off. I moved the lb bar up to the top hole. entry is good. My chain is the same lenght it was but now it's pickin up the left front up pretty high. Gonna take a quarter inch out of it at a time until the left front tire is just skimming the top of the track then adjust fro there. Was lacking on forward bite on slick, got all the forward I need now, just gotta finish dialing her in.

sounds about right. moving the bar side to side also changes your bite. more towards center = less bite, more towards left side = more bite.

I started with it centered up, it might wind up to the right though.

i would not advise going right past center. keep it from center to left side somewhere.

when you say your moving the pull bar from the center to the left or right i assume you mean the bar mount on the rearend. When you refer to left or right is that looking from the front of the car or the back.

You get a mirror and put it on the fuel cell and look from the front and it reflects back toward you and its centered....
