EXCITEMENT LEVEL GROWING FOR U.S. Steel DTWC
Lucas Oil Points Battle Adds New Twist

Waverly, OH: The 31st annual U.S. Steel Dirt Track World Championship at K-C Raceway is just around the corner. The excitement level is increasing with the return to K-C Raceway and the action the four prior DTWC’s held at Jeff Schrader’s high banked 3/8 mile track just south of Chillicothe, Ohio. In 2005 it was Scott Bloomquist winning his only Dirt Track World Championship to date. 2006 would see Bloomquist as a major player again with he and Shannon Babb battling side by side with Babb taking his second DTWC win. Fans saw Chub Frank win a heated battle with Josh Richards in 2007 collecting his first DTWC title. In 2008 Brian Birkhoffer may have been dominate in winning his DTWC but the standing room only crowd will tell you that positions 2nd thru 9th were constantly changing as drivers battled throughout the 100 lap feature.

There is a new twist for the U.S. Steel DTWC for 2011, as this will mark the first season as part of the Lucas Oil Late Model Series. With the heated points battle between Bloomquist and Jimmy Owens hitting new intensity this past weekend in the State of Virginia, this will create yet another story line when the race takes place Saturday October 14th and 15th. This will be the Lucas Oil Dirt Series Finale, So make your plans to attend the U.S. Steel Dirt Track World Championship this year and see who will win the race and the Battle for the Lucas Oil Late Model points Championship. You’ll want to be there for all three nights of racing action.
