Hoosier Tire Question

what's the difference on the wide hoosier left rear tire vs the narrow one other than the obvious.

I was told it would make the car tighter off the corner. I was told to stick with the more narrow tire with our car because we already have a large amt of drive and that would just make it push like a dump truck off the corner.
