    Default Brodix 10x piston

Can you use a piston designed for Brodix 10x heads with any other 23 degree head? JE piston site says custom pistons are required for the 10x.
What I am wondering is can I take a shortblock that had these heads on it and put a more common head on it, such as a Track 1 or Dart Iron Eagle?

You should be able to. The 10X probably had a 2.100 intake, 1.625 exhaust. The Track 1's have 2.08 and 1.6. That may be enough to make up for the 60/40 shift in the 10X valve location. You may have the grind the chamber back in the new heads if the pistons have the intake side of the dome pulled way back to get max compression.
You need to check for .040 radial clearance on the valves, and clearance the head to the piston dome with no gasket, then you will be ready to go.TB
