So much for all the work they put in on those new Capital Race Cars, I guess. Too bad.

I asked to be sure it was a Capital Race Car. It was. And I was further told that they only brought one car each for Clanton and Lobb.

Remember that it's passing points and not heat finish that determines transfers, except for the heat winner.

There was some confusion on heat one but here are the results:

Korte wins heat one. Creel second. Apologies for the confusion.

Mars won heat 3 from the 7th starting position.

He went from 4th to 1st on a lap 3 restart.
O'neal finished 2nd but was never able to get close to Mars.

Jimmy should have plenty of passing points, not to mention a heat race win.
