You are really close to the specs of the 604 crate motor and should be in the 375-400hp area.

Doesn't help at all..10.9:1 is just what it is...Actually better if you get it without domes...I'm assuming it is a solid flat tappet cam...I'd be guessing 400-425 hp...

yes the cam is solid, I hope that is enough HP to run with them at my track.

The Hurricane intake is hurting you all over the curve, they are not a very good piece and have flow numbers all over the board. I would stick to a Vic Jr, or similar.

2925 Victor intake would be a big help and have the heads cut to raise compression.

I agree with Ego...If you swapped out the intake for a Super Victor and could cut the heads for more compression that cam would work a whole bunch better...With that cams profile and a little more compression, there's no reason you couldn't get 450-475 HP...What brand and model of heads are these?

the heads is prostar from j and c cylinder head exchange off of eBay. I know alot of people said not to buy cheap heads but i just wanted to get better heads than the stock 041 that i had. I could not afford $1000.00 heads. I am on an budget engine build. The engine we had before had .100 dome speed pro piston, speedway cam # 915-14104 and the 041 heads the rest of the engine was the same. I just thought that if i went to the .125 pistons , JR motorsports cam # 111 , and the bigger heads i would get at least 450hp. I seen in the c/t mag. where they built an street stock engine that made 450 hp for $2500 i think it was.

stock car driver if you are talking to me I did read what you said . Thanks for adding me to your f/b friends list. I did not know that going from a 2 barrel to a 4 barrel carb to an engine that it would add that much hp to it

Going from a 500 4412 2 bbl to a 750 4 bbl you are really doubling your CFM...If you measure the air flow through a 2 bbl carb with the same amount of mercury a 500 2 bbl flows approximately 335-350 cfm. compared to a 750 4bbl...That is a big reason why a 390 cfm 4bbl will make more power than a 500 2 bbl..They are tested at different amounts of vacuum...It is like bolting on 50 hp, minimum if you have the cam and heads..

Is the prostar heads better head than the stock 041 heads. I paid $619 free s/h for the complete pair . The seller had all good feedback on the heads. I started to fix up he 041 but by the time i bought all new parts i would had just as much money in them as the alum heads. the rules says steel head but no one pulls any one. The full tear down on the motor is $1500.

I agree with Parrot on that those heads are aluminum and you get some weight percentages, but as far as head flow, not that sure they are much better than the 041's, but even so, with 041's and a better intake you will be 450 hp or so...

I'm prety sure most of that stuff is Procomp. Sometimes it works and sometimes it fails. The newer stuff is much better than the older stuff. You do get what u pay for though. All parts are NOT created equal.
