2012 Southern All Star Dirt racing Series Update

CLINTON, TN—The rumor mill and message boards have been a place that many people would find out about what is going on with their favorite series or track in dirt late model racing, well it is no different now as many fans and drivers are wondering what is going to happen to the Southern All Star Dirt Racing Series in 2012.

The series will once again be in action to start it 30th year of operation across the southeast and will open up the 2012 campaign with a Friday night March 8th event at the Boyd’s Speedway in Chattanooga, TN., paying $5,000 to win and then on Saturday night the series will be back in action at the Cleveland Speedway on March 10th with the Shamrock 50 paying $10,000 to win to kick off the big Southern All Star weekend of racing where there will be over $55,000 in prize money up for grabs during the weekend.

As of now there are dates set for also additional dates set for Cleveland Speedway, Smoky Mountain Speedway, Talladega Short Track, and Whynot Motor Speedway. Magnolia Motor Speedway, and Cherokee Speedway, with several more dates being put together now/. The plan is to get the complete schedule done by the end of January.

We hope that this may slow down some of the rumor talk concerning the demise of the series and that it was not going to return in the 2012 season, but it will be back and racing and will continue to provide racing entertainment for many years to come.
