Helps a ton with forward drive from the left rear, no pull bar and a shackle on the left rear. When the track dries out does your car get looser ?

When I ran a leaf spring car, I floated the rr and it help tighten the car up when the track dried out. It also helped with forward bite. The only thing is it wears out the left rear spring pretty fast and don't run a composite left rear spring because it will break it.

If you tight now, it will make it tighter. I would do it, I liked mine that way.

I never tried it that way, but my guess would be bad loose everywhere.
The true benefit of the floating requires more changes.
I wouldn't do it without doing the other changes.
Give it a try and let us know.

Dave, we tried it back in 2006 and used the same set up and it tightened the heck out of the car "on the gas". We had to keep running stagger to help it turn on the throttle. Went back to our old mind set for the A main in El Centro because the track went dry/slick, took the stagger out, and couldn't get the car to turn...Acceleration push big time...Won't make it loose...

Also don't forget, you can have it installed and just lock it up where it doesn't float the RR and that make you legal and then you can float it other places where it would be legal...A thought...

That's true. Theres a pin that goes through it so you can lock it. I use to lock mine for the heat and unlock it for the feature, but eventually just left it unlocked all the time. It was still very tight coming out of the turns in the heat race, but that's the way I like my cars. It was legal at my track though so if it's not legal at your track then you may not want to do it because like someone else said, it's very easy to see. There's no hiding it.

I was thinking that if you didnt change the left leaf spring it would flex too much and not give you the bite. When I went to the floating I changed everything in the rear.
