Type F ( Low cost so you can change it more often which is more important than putting expensive lube in)

I'm a rookie this year and that's what my research has told me too. On a asphalt can the synthetic can stay in the trans for more races and be ok but on dirt use regular type f and change every couple of races. That's what I'm going to do anyways.

I have used standard ATF for years and change it every three shows.
My sarcasm is a pre-emptive strike to your stupidity!!

I use Type F. I change it once a year. I have ran the same Bert for 7 years and have done a clutch pack rebuld once. Average about 25 shows a year...not a ton I know but never a problem Heavy race tracks EVERY night with 650 HP.

When the clutch pack starts to bark on take off , is that a sign of a worn pack or dirty fluid ? 10 runs on ours and its barkin at the moon same fluid, synthetic F .

pull your side plug to see how much metal is on the magnet.if it's clean change the fluid and chage it again after the next race to flush out the housing. but if the magnet has metal on it and you can fill the barking of the clutch pak in the seat your clutch pak needs replaced.

    Default racing transmission oil

Spectro is the way to go. They are a leader in the motorcycle industry and is pretty inexpensive. I change it every 10 races to be safe but it always looks new. The oil is specially formulated for wet clutch applications. I believe I pay $9.00 a quart, I would not be afraid of running it 15-20 races but I choose to pay the $9.00 for "Insurance". You will have to call them for more information as I cannot find the fluid I buy on their website. They are very helpful and know what you need.

I use ATF type F, regular cheap kind. I change it every other race. Maybe overkill, but I've ran 1 1/2 seasons so far and no problems.

    Default Bert Fluid

The B&M Original Trick Shift type F fluid works great. The fluid is blue in color & if you change it regularly your clutches will last for years & never bark. Pep Boys always has it in stock for around $6.
