    Default afco fuel filter

I am replacing the element in an afco fuel filter. Can someone tell me if the end of the element
with the hole goes toward the fuel cell or toward the engine.

    Thanks

Some of them used in line filters like on gas pumps and I have even seen them at Tractor Supply for tank mounted pumps.
